What are the benefits of the NevaClad® laminate process versus other renovation alternatives?

  • Cost-Effective:  The NevaClad laminate process is on average 1/3 of the cost of replacement millwork.

  • Less Cumbersome:  Re-lamination with high-pressure laminate (HPL) is a very labor intensive, complex and inexact process; as such, most cabinet shops prefer not to do it and are geared toward full replacement of existing millwork. Conversely, the NevaClad laminate process is much less labor-intensive and a more feasible option when performed by our experienced, manufacturer-trained installers. NevaClad’s flexible design permits installations in hard to reach places as well as around built-in obstacles. For instance, on project sites with BR glass, our install technicians can install NevaClad with the BR glass in place; and the same goes for office doors. Doors can be re-clad while hung.

  • Durable:  Re-lamination with HPL is typically not as durable and lends itself much more to de-lamination and chipping issues arising down the road. The added weight and stress from the second layer of laminate leads to more torque on the (original) laminate adhesive bond and can sometimes facilitate premature weakening along outside edges and joints, which leads to cracking and chipping.  For this reason, a lot of cabinet shops will not warranty re-lamination projects.  NevaClad is a lightweight (but durable) overlay and will not compromise the adhesive integrity of the original HPL or veneer substrate. In fact, there are many instances that NevaClad will enhance the bond of the original HPL due to its flexibility and ability to be wrapped around inside and outside corners. When installed by our experienced, manufacturer-trained installers, the durability and longevity of the NevaClad laminate process is excellent and will last many, many years. In addition, NevaClad has excellent chemical, stain and abrasion resistance.

  • Aesthetic:  The finish quality of NevaClad rivals real veneers and other natural substrates, and easily surpasses that of HPL. Our installations are impeccable and easily create the illusion that the millwork has been replaced –both to customers and staff. NevaClad is meant to be permanent application and will last for many years when properly maintained. There are over 1,500 NevaClad patterns available, which includes a wide selection of wood grain finishes, along with various collections of stone, metallic, sand, leather and solid-color finish offerings.

  • Non-Disruptive:  The NevaClad installation process is very non-disruptive. In fact, we are often able to perform installations during normal business hours with little to no disruption to customers or staff.

  • Repairable:  Unlike high-pressure laminate, NevaClad can easily be repaired, if damaged.  When HPL chips or breaks, the client is normally forced to live with the damage until the next major renovation.

  • Sustainable:  NevaClad is a practical solution for revitalizing outdated fixtures with remaining functional life (and value), in lieu of their unnecessary and premature disposal (i.e., winding up in a landfill) and the subsequent necessitation for the creation of replacement fixtures.  In short, it is a much better alternative for our environment. Our future generations will thank us.

  • Installation Capabilities:  Our install technicians are highly-knowledgeable and experienced; they have a full range of install capabilities that go beyond the NevaClad application process, which also includes various carpentry and woodworking skills. These capabilities feature prominently in surface preparation, which is one of the more critical aspects when it comes to the overall success and longevity of a project.

  • Superior Customer Service:  We expect our customers to be completely satisfied with their NevaClad installations and to continue utilizing us for their renovation needs.  As such, we warranty all our work and stand behind every single installation that we perform.  For regional-geographical areas that we are able to, we utilize local contractors to help keep costs lower for the customer, decrease lead times and improve customer-responsiveness.
